Clickable gets 14.5 million in Series B venture capital

Clickable the online solution that makes paid search advertising simple, instant and profitable announced completion of its Series B round of investment. The $14.5 million financing was led by Founders Fund, with additional backing from existing investors Union Square Ventures and FirstMark Capital.

The funding amounts to a total of $22.5 million in capital, raised over the past 12 months. It will be used to accelerate Clickable’s momentum as the preeminent advertising solution for small and midsize marketers. In February 2008, Clickable entered limited commercial availability with a rapid innovation and development cycle, including a major product release every four weeks, informed by Clickable’s growing customer base.

"Clickable's tools allow users to track and manage campaign performance across multiple ad networks with a comprehensive, easy-to-use dashboard," said Justin Fishner-Wolfson, a Principal at Founders Fund, who joins Clickable's board of directors. "Clickable's intuitive technology makes it easy for advertisers and agencies to realize the true potential of search ads."

"These investors are behind some of the Web’s pioneering and most successful businesses, including PayPal, Facebook, Feedburner, Twitter and Del.icio.us,” said Clickable CEO, David S. Kidder. “Their experience and vision will help Clickable accelerate product innovation and commercial expansion, while polarizing the marketplace with the idea of simplicity."

Strategic individual investors will continue their involvement in Clickable, including: Jonathan F. Miller, former America Online Chairman and Chief Executive, and a Clickable and Yahoo board member; and Peter Thiel, Managing Partner of The Founders Fund and Co-founder of PayPal.

Clickable’s Series B Funding Follows a Series of Key Milestones Over The Past 12 Months:

* Beta launch of Clickable Community, a learning portal to help small and midsize advertisers succeed. It includes Clickable University, best practices, a full product user guide, case studies, an introductory movie and The Official Clickable Blog. It is integrated seamlessly into the Clickable Dashboard, and also is available to all on the Clickable Home page.

* Ongoing product innovation and development, including, most recently: goal-based recommendations to drive profitability; bulk actions to drive efficiency; a macro view of all advertising network accounts; and dashboard improvements to simplify advertising across all major ad networks.

* Appointment of seven executives from leading Web and technology companies including Google, Microsoft, Leapfrog Online and others.

* Winner of several prestigious awards, including: Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of The Year; AlwaysOn’s OnMedia 2008 Newcomer of The Year; and Finalist in TechCrunch 40 and the American Business Awards.
